DECLARING THE WORD OF TRUTH…

UNDERSTANDING BEING SAVED WHAT IT MEANS…

Greetings from Asher Namanya the Bond servant and the prisoner of God the father and Our Lord Jesus Christ to you all who have died, buried and have been resurrected with Jesus Christ in truth and in Spirit.

Grace be to you all from God the father and our Jesus Christ;

We shall be looking at the subject of being saved and what salvation means because many people have been deceived and with the Help and guidance of the Precious Holy Spirit I decided to give you a full teaching on the subject being Saved, because some people have not understood it up to now as we shall look at it in details;

When you look at everyone in this generation, almost everyone you come across will tell you I am saved, this begins from religions like Catholics, Orthodox, Jehovah witness, Protestants, Seventh day Adventist, and even now the Muslims, this is very funny to me, for sure people have not understood what it means to get saved and being saved, if closely look at Born Agains today still they are also in the same category above, they think going to church every Sunday and then after you back to your lifestyle during the week you are saved and even guaranteed for Heaven, brethren that is very wrong and dangerous assumption to make, anyway below we shall study in details about the subject of being saved from sin, call it Salvation” because people are taking it for granted indeed and they think it’s just believe in the name of Jesus Christ and you are saved” they don’t go into the details of the word believing”

Let’s take a look at the definition of believe;

  1. be convinced by,
  2. to accept
  3. to have confidence in

In short that’s the simple definition of believe and Jesus Christ used oftenly that believe in me and you shall be saved. When you look closely at the definition of believe it’s not just saying but it’s doing instead, so if you say you believe in Jesus Christ and does not do what he says then you are not in line with his teaching you are simply saying which also the demons and other evil spirits do. The demons also believe Jesus Christ is there and so if a Christian does not accept Jesus Christ in his life and do what he wants him to do he is just wasting time, in other words he or she is rebelling like the demons and the devil do, they do believe that Jesus Christ is there but they are doing contrary to the commands of Jesus Christ instead they are doing the opposite of what Jesus Christ.

Brethren we don’t stop at saying we believe in Jesus Christ only, oh No we have to accept and be convinced that he is the only savior for our lives not our religions, there is no salvation in religions rather, its Repenting, believing and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and savior in everything as in every detail of your life and live a life of Jesus Christ wants you to live not what you want to live. In this case you forget all your sinful nature life and put on new a Spiritual Life.

Here are the scriptures that can confirm the same;

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

3But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. 4Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. 5For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7Therefore do not become partners with them; 8for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9(for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,

“Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

15Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, Ephisians5;1-18

WHAT EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT BEING SAVED!

The subject “On Being Saved” is of extraordinary concern to every Christian. It is not a topic that can be ignored, avoided or treated lightly. Much of our peace of mind as Christians rests upon a clear understanding of this subject. Yet we find that people may often exhibit greater concern over their financial portfolios than they do about the health of their relationship with Christ Jesus. This must not be so with us.

A dictionary definition of “save” in a theological sense is, “to deliver from sin.” The theological definition of “salvation” is “spiritual rescue from sin and death.” This would seem easy to understand because the Bible clearly teaches that we are all sinners and, therefore, God’s judgment stands against us. We also have learned that a way has been provided to lift that judgment against us through Christ. All Christians are in agreement on this. Other religions may have different approaches to sin. Christianity is unique in presenting Christ as the only means of lifting the judgment of death from us.

Jesus said, “I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved” (John 10:7-9). That may seem dogmatic, but this is the message of Jesus Christ himself.

It is easy to use words such as “saved” and “salvation” without regard to the biblical context or some of the overriding qualifications when the entire subject is brought into focus. Anyone may quote a scripture or two, and if it is quoted long and loud enough, it is easy to come away feeling that is all that the Bible has to say. Yet the Bible is a book with many texts that are qualified by other Biblical texts. When there are over a hundred verses on “being saved” and only one or two are used, there is a danger that we may come away with an improper or inadequate view.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,” is a beautiful text (Acts 16:31). But what does it mean to “believe”? James tells us, “The devils also believe, and tremble” (James 2:19). Are they “saved”? No! What does it mean to be “saved”? These are questions that, hopefully, will be answered in this biblical presentation. Why did Jesus make the terms for receiving “everlasting life” so difficult for the young nobleman? Why is this so often overlooked? How can we harmonize all the Bible has to say on being “saved”? This booklet is presented with the prayer that those who love Jesus will learn more perfectly what is required of his disciples. Peter says, “Elect [chosen] according to the foreknowledge of God the Father” (1 Peter 1:2). Once we realize the requirements, we may daily and hourly rejoice in our high calling. Gladly then will we meet the terms of discipleship that are implied in this calling.* [*We become “conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29).] Throughout our study, we will pursue a broad based approach to the scriptures. Knowing that choosing and selecting pieces and bits of scripture can result in wrong conclusions, we want to be careful to consider the full spectrum of Biblical teachings on this subject. We will especially be concerned with Jesus’ presentation for receiving eternal life. We will consider the following questions: The disciples asked Jesus, “What shall we have therefore?” Why did Jesus set such high standards for discipleship? What does being a Christian really entail? What does it mean to believe in Jesus? How are we “saved by his blood” and “saved by his life”? Is there a difference between “saved” and “being saved”?

Other topics included will be: What is the meaning of God’s grace? How are grace and faith necessary to being saved? The subject of “faith” and “works.” Does once in grace mean always in grace? How do character development and Christian works affect our relationship to God? Is there another day of salvation after Christ’s church is joined with her Lord? Finally, every text using the word “saved” in the New Testament will be listed for clear examination.

The mere repetition of the phrase “I believe” or “I am saved” is not a mantra with magical powers that will deliver us into God’s Heavenly Kingdom. We urge all to consider the entire weight of this subject to enhance our relationship with Christ. Why should we settle for just a few texts on “being saved,” when with a little effort we might examine the complete range of these instructive Bible verses? The subject of heaven has been exploited by all religions. How convenient it is for church leaders to offer those who support them an assurance of heaven. If it were only the Christian churches that offered this hope it might be asserted that this is a benefit of being a Christian. However, most other religions do the same.

EMPTY PROMISES BY THE RELIGIONS TO THEIR FOLLOWERS;

All religions are just a doom to this generation, I have been wondering for quite some time now, why there are so many Catholics, Moslems, protestants and other religions and recently and the Holy Spirit has continually given me an insight why these people are so many,

When you look at religions they are just after making members and also becoming associations other than being disciples of Jesus Christ.

Following Jesus Christ is not something easy as you people may think, so when the religions saw that it was hard to get members in their associations they made sure and had to reduce on the weight of requirements that are needed to follow Jesus Christ ;

Jesus Christ was so clear when he was talking about following him, Jesus Christ was not focused on winning people or making members but Jesus Christ was very serious he wanted disciples not members, but look at the religions they are making up members and building their associations not the kingdom of God neither making disciples they make members simply they are looking for honors, Personal Glories, and thus making salvation to be easy by trimming the requirements that are needed to be a disciple

But let’s see what Jesus Christ said about following him in the scriptures;

The Cost of Discipleship

25Now great crowds accompanied him, and he turned and said to them, 26“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. 28For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? 29Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ 31Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. 33So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

Salt without Taste Is Worthless

34“Salt is good, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? 35It is of no use either for the soil or for the manure pile. It is thrown away. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”Luke14; 25; 34

Now regarding being disciple of Christ Jesus from the above scripture is very clear and if you look at the meaning Jesus Christ was meaning that following him is hard, because you have to forsake your life which sinful and follow his footsteps by leaving your sinful nature, and do away from all sorts of evil deeds and be raised in Spirit,

But when you closely look at today’s religions they have distorted everything and give people false hope imagine how the Catholics keep things that are worthless, they deceive people that seven sacraments are essential for salvation and now they have perverted the word of God to their own way to make people think salvation is just doing some good works then you reach heaven which is false hope, now all Catholics are burning in hell because of false doctrine that has been passed unto them, the same goes to all religions and even to the Born Agains of today are doing the same things now, promising people that if you come to Jesus Christ you will go to America, you drive nice cars, you enjoy life and they make simple for s person, and now people get saved not to save their souls but to expect their lives to be on a high and this has tried to make them many church members which is not a commission from Our Lord Jesus Christ, he said if you wanted to build a tower then you are supposed to calculate very well so that you may not leave your building half way when you don’t see that the money is not enough for you because people would start laughing at you because you started building and failed to finish your building and likewise that’s how it is should be salvation by calculating how it will cost you following Christ Jesus because it needs a lot required including forsaking your life, suffering with him, baptism which is death, burial and resurrection instead of just joining and you start living hypocrisy life and store God’s wrath upon yourself,

Christians today have replaced salvation of Jesus Christ into their own conscience because today sermons have been trimmed to please people, by telling them what they want hear, this has brought so many errors in Salvation e.g. some False teachers have taught that you can be saved and still drink alcohol, some have said there is grace you can still live your way because Jesus Christ died for you and nailed everything so you have nothing to suffer for, no need of repentance, it’s just believing Jesus Christ then you are ready for heaven. This is all false doctrines from the devil to divert and destroy those who have not understood of being saved, a Christian believer or a true Born Again should not live his or her life rather live the life worthy of Jesus Christ, people continue to sin and they say are Born Agains, or are saved? What are you saved from then? If salvation does not take a way a sin then Jesus Christ did not die and resurrect!

Jesus Christ died so that you may not live your own life but his life as it is written;

14For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; 15and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. 2Corrinthians5; 14-15.

You see the scriptures are very clear that when you come to Christ Jesus then you must not live your life but live the life Jesus Christ wants you to live.

I always wonder and even some times I laugh if you found a catholic member or protestant member and ask that person; that why can’t you get saved the person will tell you that I am saved in my religion which really makes me laugh a loud; because if you look closely at the statement of being saved in your religion it means that religions save which is very wrong and even dangerous you are replacing the religion as savior rather than Jesus Christ the savior of the world, All religions go to hell because they have believed in the religions as their savior rather than Jesus Christ. For if a person comes to Jesus Christ he must die in flesh and be raised in the Spirit but if you look at people they are full of sinful nature desires and are in the flesh making it hard to please God.

It is written that;

16From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. 17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2corrinthians5; 16-17,

This is where people have failed even when they come to Christ Jesus they remain the same no new things as in no new life of living instead they live continually in their sinful nature and hence disobeying the scripture, if you come to Christ you must totally change from your old ways of life and live in accordance with the life of Christ Jesus whom you have received forever continually to be transformed into his Image.

Now there are things that the all religions do in order to bring members into their religions and these have kept them in total darkness thinking they are good standing candidates for heaven which is wrong

Let’s see below how these religions have kept themselves with members and taking them to destruction with their heresies and false doctrines;

When the Catholics wanted men to go forth on their Holy (?) Crusades, they assured those who might be injured or killed a reward in heaven. When the Muslims in the Middle East want men and children to blow themselves up as martyrs to kill Jews, they promise a heavenly reward. Each martyr is assured of seventy virgins in a heavenly harem. That seems more generous than the Catholic offer. The Native American Indians go to their happy hunting grounds in heaven.

The Eastern religions offer repeated opportunities to gain heavenly bliss. One may be reincarnated many times until, at last, heaven is achieved. If it were only Christian religions that used heaven as a tool to gain and hold a following, it would not be quite so obvious that heaven is being exploited.

Protestants are equally the same because they do look for honor and they don’t find it hard by going to witch craft and serving God as well, so their life is comfortable there because they can still go and drink beer in the bars, as long as you can come to church on Sunday there is no problem, that is not the life Jesus Christ wants in salvation; if you are still doing the above then you are serving the Devil and here the scripture is quite very direct, you should not be deceived.

4Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. 10By this it is evident who the children of God are, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. 1 John3; 4-10

One must ask-Does God have any choice in who will enter heaven? Doesn’t it seem wrong to preempt the Lord’s judgment by assuring heaven to anyone? Would you allow anyone to have permanent residence in your home without your consent? Yet people are being promised heaven as though anyone may enter by just saying, “I believe in Jesus.” Why would the devil pass up such a marvelous opportunity to send his followers to heaven? If he could send just one unregenerate sinner to heaven, what triumph that would be. God would no longer have his will done in heaven even as it is not being done on earth. Better yet, that the devil should send millions of his wicked children to heaven. It would be far better to send them to heaven to corrupt God’s dwelling place than to have them underfoot in his proverbial “hell.”

Is there any danger of this happening? No! “For our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:29). “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). Anybody can say, “I believe in Jesus.” All one has to do is read church history to see what terrible things professed Christians have done. Jesus said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35). Whose disciples were they who carried on “holy wars,” the “inquisition,” the pogroms against the Jews, the massacres of Protestants, and the list could go on and on. Could it be that Satan had engaged Christians to do some of the most terrible things in history? There virtually is no evil that has not been done by professed Christians. This should cause true believers and followers of Christ to be very careful about what they believe and that they are true examples of Christ.

In conclusion Christian believers or the followers of Christ Jesus should look at the life of Jesus Christ and follow his footsteps, and this will only happen if you get the right church where there is the Holy Spirit of God who transforms people until they reach the likeness of God’s image.

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. 8Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans8; 5-8.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21envy,d drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians5; 16-19.

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

25If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. Galations5:25-26
