Greetings to you all the elect of God the Father through Faith in Jesus Christ glory be to our everlasting God for ever and ever. Amen.
I Asher Namanya the Prisoner of God the father and Our Lord Jesus Christ by God’s grace I bring the subject of Repentance to you all the people, Born Again Christians, other religions Believers and Non-Believers  grace and peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
What Is Repentance?
The Old Testament portion of the Bible is filled with the call to repentance. In the New Testament, the Gospels begin with John the Baptist introducing Our Lord Jesus Christ by calling people to repentance (Matthew 3:2). When Jesus and His disciples went forth to preach, the first words on their lips were, “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand” (Matthew 4:17; Mark 1:15). Repentance is where it all begins.
Now many people have been inquiring about repentance and some have even asked they don’t know what is Repentance is, and even those who know they are puzzled how to come about repentance, the majority in this generation have not understood what repentance is, and most of them say there is no need of Repentance since Jesus Christ died for us on the cross and all sins were nailed, for today, for tomorrow and forever, therefore no need of Repentance. And  Honestly speaking that is a wrong doctrine from the schemers of today I mean the false Teachers and false pastors, evangelists that Jesus Christ prophesied about that there would be false teachers in the last days but don’t follow them. So if you hear any gospel that prohibits someone from Repentance just know it’s a heresy and a false doctrine and such doctrines are teachings of demons as the scriptures;
Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared,1 Timothy4;1-2.
The above scripture expresses how people will abandon faith and follow deceiving evil spirits and things taught by the demons, so such teachings are from the demons and evil spirits those are one of the signs that you should know that the teacher or the pastor you are following is false and he gets teachings from demons.
Imagine how this world has sinned greatly, look at USA, Uganda and other countries as well, all people in the world are dwelling under sin, take an example of activities going and the gay marriages approvals in the USA, Germany, china recently legalized Prostitution , all this wickedness and doom to this generation and look at the young generation I mean the youth , they are all spoiled and are dwelling in the cages of homosexuality, prostitution, idol worshiping, sexual immorality, and other obvious sins, they have no respect for elders, nor for their parents, they wild in orgies, parties and clubs, as well as concerts, look at women also in this generation they have dressed in miniskirts, in leggings, in trousers and what amazes me the people seeing them they call it smartness and modernity.
This is brings judgment upon all the people and damnation, it’s like Jesus Christ did not die for any sin and his blood was not full because people are slaves to sin , the Devil is gloating himself beginning from the Church of Jesus Christ to the gentiles which is wrong and this is why Jesus Christ came;

Confirming with the scriptures;
Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who the children of God are, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. 1 John3; 4-8.

As you can see that Jesus Christ manifested to destroy the works of the devil and this was to be done on the cross by his death, burial and resurrection. As you look now today things are different people are living their own lives and this has increased the works of the devil to be seen instead, Born Again Christians in this case walk like the un believers they have not changed their lives even after receiving Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, the reason is that these people have come to Receive Christ Jesus under wrong doctrines especially in the church today, they focus on the prosperity gospel instead of Repentance, Holiness and Righteousness  of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  The sin has overcome church instead of the church over coming sin.

1.    Definitions  of Repentance according to layman’s understanding

Repentance is the activity of reviewing one’s actions and feeling contrition or regret for past wrongs. It generally involves a commitment to personal change and resolving to live a more responsible and humane life.

2.    Many understand the term repentance to mean “turning from sin.
3.    An act of feeling sorry or felling regret.
When looking at the above definitions of Repentance in layman’s language it doesn’t bring out the message of how someone can repent and what it means in line with Biblical definitions.

According to the biblical definition of Repentance, this is the total turn from sin, believe and receive Salvation which is only found in Jesus Christ, meaning once you have changed it does not mean feeling sorry, or regret about the sins that you did oh no,
Instead it’s the Total change and turn from sin to God and you don’t go back to your sins, now you live responsible Life before God by doing what is righteous and the full biblical definition of repentance means a sincere total turn away from sin, in both the mind and heart, from self to God. In regards to salvation is to change your mind in regard to Jesus Christ.

Repentance is to cease, in all matters of life, from being independent of God.

The word “repent” has become an archaic and much misunderstood word. It has become a “funny word,” a choice word for humor and mockery. Let me tell you, however, that one cannot possibly hear a more serious or important word. Repentance is the one and only gateway to God, through which every soul must one day pass if he or she is to have life. The soul that finds this funny can only be pitied.
It is said that repentance is the changing of one’s mind – the determination to stop sinning, that is, the willful decision to stop breaking God’s laws. These things are all true. However, repentance is more than that, or, at least, it can be described in different terms to understand how great a thing it is.

Repentance is nothing less than the complete relinquishing of one’s right to one’s self. It is to cease, in all matters of life, from being independent of God in any way or anything. If we presume to govern our lives and make decisions based on our desires, preferences, and understanding, we are unrepentant and living in sin, no matter how exemplary or virtuous our lives are deemed to be. On the other hand, if we unconditionally yield up our right to ourselves and surrender to God, we are repentant.
Truly, we never had a right to ourselves. That is because we did not originate in ourselves. We did not create ourselves. God created us, and we are therefore His. Being His, He has full rights to us. We have no rights but such as are subordinate to Him.
Some have presumed to have experienced repentance or salvation, because they struck an agreement with God that goes something like this: “God, if You get me out of this mess, if You heal me, if You save me, I will dedicate my life to serving You. I will do anything you ask.” That is not repentance; it is a bargain. It is a spurious conversion, an act and attitude of righteousness coming from a sinful person who is totally incapable of honoring any kind of agreement or bargain with God.
Without all of these vital elements, repentance is not complete.
The very first step of faith toward God is repentance. So how can there be any spiritual progress with a person unless there is the first step in completion? Let us examine the nature of true repentance before God:
A prime component of repentance is the acceptance of consequences for sin: “I am guilty. I deserve whatever punishment God is pleased to administer to me and I will avoid it no longer. I would rather have my debt cleared than pretend it isn’t there or hide it from those against whom I have sinned.”
Without all of the vital elements, repentance is not complete. Those elements are: one, acknowledgment of the sin; two, confession of the sin; three, candidness about the sin; four, sorrow for the harm done to those sinned against, not for the consequences of the sin; five, full acceptance of the consequences for the sin; six, apologies and restitution when and where possible; seven, complete desire to never commit that sin again; and eight, total dependence on the Savior Jesus Christ to keep one from ever committing the sin again.
Take out any one of those eight elements and there is not a genuine wrought-of-God repentance.
Consider that these eight elements compose only the first step of a walk of faith, and these elements come together as the parts of a body come together. As a body does not come in separate parts, but as a whole and single unit, so genuine repentance does not come in separate parts. Should your neighbor come to visit you, he will not come piece by piece; he will come in one intact body.
We know that repentance can’t be made up or forced on anyone. The elements we mention are solely the true marks that indicate or prove that true repentance exists.

Repentance is total surrender to God
And true repentance is the heart acknowledgment of God as Creator, Sustainer, and Rightful Governor of all His creation. Repentance is to confess not only with the tongue, but also with the entire life, that Jesus Christ is Lord of all.
We are not our own to do with as we please. To acknowledge, not with the lips only, not with the mind only, but with the heart, that we are not our own, that we are His, that is repentance. To acknowledge that we are His for all time, in all things, beginning not only now, but from the time we first existed, that is repentance.
To say, “Not my will, but Thine be done,” is repentance. Instead of saying (by our lives and attitudes), “You are not going to tell me what to do,” it is saying, “You are Lord, my Lord. All that I am and have is Yours. Never was it mine, nor ever will it be. Do with me as it pleases You, whatever it may be, whether I like it or not, want it or not, choose it or not.”
Repentance is not a matter of religion. It is not a matter of choosing a lifestyle. It is not a matter of accepting a doctrine or set of doctrines. It is not a matter of “going to church,” or going to seminary or Bible School.

Repentance is total surrender to God.

Repentance is not a demonstration or performance of any kind to others. It is not a show of piety or humility or heroism. It is not a matter of deciding to be godly or saintly. It is not a matter of asceticism (making one’s self suffer pain or deprivation). It is not a matter of a commitment to some cause or great work. It is not a matter of giving one’s self to total sacrifice. Repentance is refraining completely from depending in any way on one’s own power or ability to come into favor with God, and trusting completely in God to do the job instead. Repentance is turning completely from depending on oneself, to depending on God to make one right.
Repentance is a surrender of body, soul, and spirit to God. It is acknowledging that He is Lord of all, that He governs all things, and that unless He wills anything in our lives, it does not happen.
Repentance is to decide to see all of existence as God sees it. It is to recognize that God is active and involved in everything, and to agree with how He sees and does all.

Repentance is the initiatory stage of reconciliation with God.
With genuine repentance is the discovery that the Kingdom of God reigns supreme over all and that all things are determined from above.
With repentance comes the beginning of the power to determine right from wrong.
With repentance comes the beginning of life, hope, peace, joy, love, understanding, true righteousness, purpose, and direction. It is written:
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. Stubborn fools despise wisdom and discipline” (Proverbs 1:7).
Repentance is the initiatory stage of reconciliation with God. It is the introduction to receiving His Spirit. With repentance, in due time, God comes to dwell within the person. Another work then begins, a work as great as, or greater than, the one before, until the penitent soul enters rest, the third and final stage. Of that stage, dimension, and realm, it is written:
“Everyone who wins the victory this way will wear white clothes. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life. I will acknowledge them in the presence of My Father and His angels” (Revelation 3:5).
“I will make everyone who wins the victory a pillar in the temple of My God. They will never leave it again. I will write on them the Name of My God, the name of the City of My God (the New Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven from My God), and My new Name” (Revelation 3:12).
Repentance takes the soul out of the slums and into a posh neighborhood, out of back alleys, rummaging for garbage to eat, into a palace of sumptuous dining.

Be warned, however, you must count the cost. Do not listen to charlatans and false preachers who gather souls to themselves in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, selling you religion as merchandise. They are everywhere, pretending to serve God, to have revelation, to be ministers of God, to love you (if ever so sincerely), but seeking their own gain. True repentance is not an eternal joy ride. It will cost you your life. Of the apostles Paul and Barnabas, it is written that they were:
“… confirming the souls of the disciples, calling on them to continue in the faith and that through much tribulation we must enter into the Kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22).

Beware of the counterfeit, of copycats.
Lest anyone should think differently, a disciple is not a special calling among Christians. A disciple is a Christian, and a Christian is a disciple. If one is not a disciple, one is not a Christian, and vice versa. A Christian is one who has experienced repentance as I have defined it here, according to Holy Scripture, which, by the way, true disciples, Christians, penitents, love.
Paul also wrote to Timothy, saying:
“Yea, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” (2 Timothy 3:12).

Beware of the counterfeit, of copycats. There are cheapie and preferable repentances out there for bargain prices. Confession of Jesus Christ with the lips (“accepting Jesus into the heart as Savior”) with church membership and attendance is the most common, popular and deceptive copycat message of salvation preached.
While it is true that Jesus Christ is Savior, that one does not earn his or her salvation, that fellowship with believers is desirable and important, and that Jesus Christ comes to dwell within the believing penitent if he or she continues in repentance to the receiving of the Spirit, it is not true that it is easy or simple or quickly and completely accomplished. Jesus declared:
“And calling near the crowd with His disciples, He said to them, Whoever will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me” (Mark 8:34).
Make no mistake. The genuine article is free, but it will cost you your life. Jesus said:
“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he may have enough to finish it; lest perhaps, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish, all those seeing begin to mock him, saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish” (Luke 14:28-30).
It is written:
“And Jesus said to him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head. And He said to another, Follow Me! But he said, Lord, first allow me to go and bury my father. Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their dead, but you go and proclaim the Kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow You, but first allow me to take leave of those in my house. And Jesus said to him, No one, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God” (Luke 9:58-62).

Repentance therefore doesn’t mean the state of being sorry about sin or regret about sin but rather it should be sincere total turn away from sin, in both the mind, heart and from self to God and produce the fruits worthy of Repentance that is Holiness and Righteous ness.

The question above is for all, therefore everyone needs Repentance to God and turn to Christ Jesus for Salvation and this is thus for All Christians Believers, and Non-Believers, all for Born Again Christians as well.  Since the generation is too wicked and full of sin we all need to repent, Uganda needs to Repent, USA needs to Repent, and all other countries need to Repent for turning away from the Word of God operate in Injustice, Corruption, homosexuality, poor Governance of God’s People and the Church of Christ Needs to Repent and Moslems need to Repent and Believe in the only son of God Jesus Christ who is the only savior of the world and also People need to Repent and turn away from false doctrines of religions who have taken the people of God into worshiping of False gods like Hail Mary, who have taken religions as salvation other than Jesus Christ .

We all need to Repent from our own ways and get on the Life of God and Jesus Christ by leaving worshiping our IDOLS, following our own ways, living in iniquities…
People in this generation are worshiping Football instead of God and Jesus Christ, people are worshiping soaps and operas , films, and all these have become Idols for them, people are worshiping Money, instead of God our Savior, people have engaged in very many detestable things before God hence everyone requires Repentance, here is the command that we are violating;
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!  You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.  Deutronomy6; 4-9

Now when you look at the commandment it requires us to love God with all our hearts, strength, our souls, mind and thoughts, and this was the greatest commandment given to us but it’s different now this generation, people have loved football more than God, people have loved their wives, husbands, children more than God, people have loved films, operas, and other useless events more than God and we have therefore failed God in loving him. We have created time for other things that cannot save us and the world is all crazy in worthless things and has put aside the Love of God, those who try to love God are also just hypocrites who just speak on lips, that I love God but her/his mind is not the works and deeds of God such a person is living like a traditionalist, like a worldly person with no reflection of the Image of Jesus Christ in that person. Brethren do not be deceived to love God is to hate all evil and obey his commands: Read John14; 21-23.  So we need Repentance all of us…

Let’s read the scriptures from the Bible on Repentance of the Christian Believers
“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord God. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.”Ezekiel18; 30-32.
Now here God is calling for Repentance on the House of Israel, this is what is happening today, Christians today have love for materials than God and this has become an Idol to them, Christians have walked in the iniquities which have hindered them from hearing the Voice of God, for sure look at the church of Jesus Christ today its full of sin, the sexual Immorality, the spirit of Jezebel has taken over the church, people are going to church as if they are going for  disco Club, if you met a Born Again Christian of today there is no difference between him/her than a worldly person, today you find the men in church plaited Hair oh my God Lord Jesus this is an abomination, you find Women Naked in the church with funny Pants, leggings , Miniskirts and other funny dressings in the church of God??? This shows people are not saved from sin.
Here the scripture is very clear that God looks at every detail of person bit dress code and change of heart and Spirit;

Flee Sexual Immorality
“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. “Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. 1 corrinthians6; 12-20.

When you look at this generation today Born Again Christians have boyfriends, Girlfriends and the way of dressing is horrible they put on like prostitutes and they behave like un saved people and walk like the gentiles, and this is all total disgrace and a disappointment to God who sent his only son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice to Our Sins and He forgave us to live a righteous Life. But it’s now different people are living the way they want, in the church it’s even worse and when you tell them to dress appropriately they say after all Jesus Christ died for us all and besides this is modernity and Jesus Christ says come as you are and he looks at the heart,
This is all false doctrine and disgrace defenses, For God looks at every detail of a person, if you look at the scripture it says Glorify God in Your Body!!! Do you think you can wear Trousers ye Women and Honor God, oh NO that is an abomination, Now you are dwelling in sexual immorality and you think you are going to Glorify God??? Of Course Not, the scripture says that Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord God. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live. God requires you to change your heart, your Spirit, your ways, and your actions, your dressings, your talking and turn away from all your transgressions and iniquities and live a righteous life meaning after Repentance God needs you to be in a new heart and a new Spirit, you leave all your ways you have been living and follow Jesus Christ in Salvation.
But today people who are Born Again Christians and have got all these works of the sinful nature; sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. Now that means they have not overcome the sin and therefore have abused the grace of God which removes sin and have denied the death of Jesus Christ therefore they have crucified Jesus Christ all over again on the cross as if he did not remove sin. But the scriptures are quite very clear on this topic that Jesus Christ destroyed the power of sin through death on the cross and this is the confirmation;
See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him. Colossians2; 8-15.
As you can see Jesus Christ overcame sin and by nailing all to the cross therefore there is no need of us to continue dwelling in sin, if we do then we despise the scripture and say Jesus Christ did not triumph over any authority and this grieves the Holy Spirit whenever we sin and therefore we put Jesus Christ back on the cross.  Therefore Repent ye from all your transgressions, iniquities, idols and all sins and receive Salvation and produce the fruits worthy of Repentance.

From the above scriptures we have sin that we need repentance in our daily life, first of all we have so many things to Repent about and these include;
1.    Unbelief, not believing in the only True God by trusting in People more than God also, some have gone into witch craft when they are born Again Christians, I can bear witness that the religions are worse they are full of idolatry, sorceries, drunkardness, witchcraft and many others some believe in demons and after church services you find the same people consulting dead Spirits to oversee their lives ahead and this is all sin and great unbelief, people today have got no faith in the power of God that is found in Salvation through Faith in Christ Jesus. Therefore people are worshiping demons and the devil in such practices hence a big requirement for Repentance.

2.    Sexual immorality; look at this generation it’s for sure a doom for destruction that needs to Repent and Honor and Glorify God, Our women are dressing badly, they are full of abominations and have got detestable practices that God hates, like wearing trousers, miniskirts, Men plaiting Hair that disgraces God, prostitution in the church of Christ Jesus indeed, all this need sincere Repentance, a Change of new heart and a change of new Spirit, Women should burn all these things they call miniskirts, leggings, and also Men should dress appropriately not with funny haircuts, not with the trousers as if they have defecated in them, that is below the buttocks, for sure all these are abominable in sight of God and heading you straight to Hell.

3.    Injustices, Corruption, look at the world today, its full of injustices, the poor are not defended people worship the rich people and the poor are forgotten and even you find they are being cheated, they don’t win cases even when they are innocent, their lands have been taken freely and the judges are corrupt in the country, the government is corrupt, they are not doing the work in accordance with the will of God, here the Orphans have been deserted and are not defended so this requires Repentance for Our countries to bring back pure Judgment in accordance with the word of God by not judging with our own eyes nor what we hear or what have seen but to Judge righteously to receive the Blessing of God as the scripture;
Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;
cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression;
bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause. Isaiah1; 16-17. So we need to Repent to God and Pray for Our countries to turn away from Injustices, Corruption so that God will deliver us from this curse of unemployment, diseases  all this came because of disobedience against God’s Commands. Read Deuteronomy28; 14-

4.    Women heading Families; this generation is a disappointment to God because when you look at the family set up, it’s disappointing because of equality that they brought now women have started heading Families and this is a total disgrace for a Woman cannot head  family this is a lie from the Devil, the women are supposed to be submissive to the husbands all over the world according to the word of God, Men are supposed to be Head of the family, but its contrary now, the Spirit of Jezebel has entered the family matters and ruined the Set Up of God, Man was created first not Woman, therefore the whole Government of the World need to Repent on this turn to a new chapter of Rule because they have violated the word of God and people are living according to the way they want, this is all lies, women are wearing like Men, so there is no difference between A man and a woman now days, Jezebel has brought a Spirit of men ship in women hence despising Men and not submitting To their husbands. Here the scriptures are quite very open about this;
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Ephesians5; 22-24.  Now you can see how the devil has deceived this generation that women and Men are equal??? This is a total lie and an abomination against God Women simply they cannot behave like Men it is disgrace, so people ye repent about all this and come back to the word and commandment of God and save ye lives for the eternal Damnation.
From all above list of what we should repent about those are just examples but we have more sins that we don’t know for example the sins of our mothers, our ancestors who did not walk righteously with God almighty and up to now we are suffering the curses because of the Punishment God poured on our forefathers that lived in a great sin that we did not know , so we need to repent about all that so that God will restore us back to his presence and we also shall no longer walk in the ways of our fathers but walk in Righteousness and Holiness of God.

1.    We opens the gates for the Holy Spirit to come unto us through righteousness and Holiness
And by doing so, the Holy Spirit transforms us into the Spirit life that pleases God and Our Lord Jesus Christ because with the Holy Spirit we are not children of God, lets confirm the scriptures;
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.Roman8;5-11.
It’s very clear that when you are in the sinful nature you cannot please God therefore it’s the Spirit of God who enables us to please God, so Repentance brings the Holy Spirit aliveness in us thus pleasing God and it will enable us to be children of God, according the scripture above if you are not having the Spirit of God then you are not of Christ. If we repent daily we keep the Holy Spirit because of righteousness. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Roman8; 14. So we become the Children of God If we are led by the Holy Spirit.

2.    Repentance leads to life;
“God has granted repentance that leads to life.” Acts 18:11b
Repentance is a racetrack for wisdom, as it traffics on the streets of a soul who continually turns to Christ, and turns away from man-centered methods. The world’s standards may allow you to attack an antagonist, but not Jesus. The confrontation of a friend or enemy is at a crossroad for Christ’s wisdom. Instruction is an ally that grows your understanding of, and intimacy with, Almighty God. So seek out the mature of faith, and give them permission to encounter any erroneous actions in your life.

3.    Repentance brings Reconciliation and restoration back to God,
When we repent we invite the Voice of God and he restores us back to his presence thus clears the hindrances from communicating with God; here he says in scripture;
Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;
cease to do evil learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.
“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;
but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” Isaiah1;16-20, it’s very clear that when we repent we bring God down and clear our communication with Him and when we obey then we shall eat the good of the land and be blessed. So there is no way you can talk to God when you are full of sins, therefore Repentance clears all that.

4.    Repentance brings justification and Exaltation  from God to the Person who has repented; and this means God gives us a home and restores us in his heart once again looking at the story of the tax collector it shows how God justifies us when we Repent to him in sincerity
But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” Luke18; 13-14.

5.    With Repentance you build relationship with God the father, the son and the Holy Spirit, this means that your strength is in them and you are unworthy and God will continually bring you back into his presence and it shows maturity which pleases God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the Precious Holy Spirit.
6.    Repentance brings forgiveness and this leads to have liberty, peace, and acceptance in God’s books

7.    Repentance makes to be Children and heirs of God

Putting to death the sinful nature is not the only benefit of the Spirit’s work in us. By his work of regeneration, he makes us “sons of God.” Here, Paul uses the Old Testament idea of sonship. Israel was God’s adopted son, with full legal rights, benefits and privileges as a son (Hos 11:1 ; Rom 9:4 ). In fact, God called Israel his firstborn son (Exod 4:22 ), having the highest rights and privileges among all the children.
A son is not a slave in the household, but a member of the family. Christians are no longer slaves to sin, but are adopted as sons into God’s family, as evidenced by the Spirit that cries out within them that God is their Father. Paul also uses the same idea in Galatians 3:26 , “for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.” Thus, our status as adopted sons of God is based solely on faith in Christ who was “born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons” (Gal 4:5 ).

If the “spirit of adoption” is connected to the Holy Spirit, what then is the “spirit of slavery”? Since Paul also says that “God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts” (Gal 4:6 ), referring to the indwelling Holy Spirit, some believe that Paul is also referring to the Holy Spirit as the “spirit of slavery.” Because as a result of being adopted through faith in Christ, a believer is no longer under slavery and conviction by the law that the same Holy Spirit has written in his heart.
As adopted children of God, we have become brethren of Christ, and he himself calls us his brothers and sisters, “For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers” (Heb 2:11 ). This is why John says that those who believe in Jesus receive “the right to become children of God” (1:12). Near the end of his gospel, he quotes Jesus saying, “I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God” (20:17). Therefore, we are “fellow heirs with Christ.”
As fellow heirs, we are the fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham “that he would be heir of the world” (Rom 4:13 ). This is only fitting for believers, because they are also firstborns, and also the brethren of Christ who is the heir of all God’s promises (Psa 2:8 ; Heb 1:2

All aspects of repentance require a work of grace and revelation by the Lord.
There are four aspects to the walk of repentance:
1.    Repentance of past sins. This is sorrow over, and repudiation of, past acts and ways contrary to the Law of God, and is most commonly what people refer to when speaking of repentance.
2.    Repentance of sinning. This is acknowledgement of guilt and repentance from current sins. This is also widely considered to be repentance. However, there is more.
3.    Forgiveness of all persons for any and all offenses, actual and perceived, past and present, committed against one. There is no forgiveness from God for a person who will not forgive. Forgiveness is a crucial element of repentance. One who has not forgiven has not repented.
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14-15 KJV).
Now here is a revelation. This aspect of repentance is rarely spoken about. I say it is the core of repentance:

4.    A change of mind or attitude towards all things people did and taught that captivated one’s pride or mind, but which were not good, though they appeared to be good or at least harmless.
For example, a mother may have babied her child, giving him all the attention he wanted, and lavishly praised him. The child, therefore, could grow up with an inordinate self-importance, expecting praise and honor from others, not knowing any better. The mother’s affection may have appeared to be valid, if not necessary. After all, should not a mother love and encourage her child? Many also think it honorable to be proud or to have an inflated ego falsely called self-esteem or confidence.
One must forsake ungodly forms of attitude and behavior, of actions committed and pleasures partaken, now and in the past, and recognize them for what they are. “That which is highly esteemed among men is abomination with God,” said Jesus. This can only happen when candidates for repentance are taught right living, perspective, and attitude.
All of these aspects or elements of repentance require a work of grace and revelation by the Lord of hosts. No one can take these steps in his or her own power:
“For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13 MKJV).
